Terms

PointQuest is a free tool that estimates your Linear issues and then changes them. These terms are about that second half.

PointQuest changes your issues, as you

When a Leader assigns an estimate, PointQuest writes it to the Linear issue — and runs whatever Automations that Quest was configured with: adding or removing labels, moving the issue to another workflow state, or assigning it to a cycle.

Every one of those writes is made with your own Linear account, under the access you granted, so Linear records it as you doing it. That means the changes are yours: you configured them, you triggered them, and you are responsible for them in exactly the way you would be if you had typed them into Linear yourself. Nobody reviews an Automation before it fires, and a rule that labels the wrong hundred issues is not a malfunction — it is the rule you wrote.

Changes already written to Linear are never rolled back. Deleting a Quest, completing one, or erasing a person undoes none of them; Linear is the system of record, and PointQuest does not reach back into it.

You can end PointQuest's access at any time with Disconnect from Linear, which destroys the stored credential and revokes it with Linear, or from Linear's own settings.

No promise that it is up

PointQuest is provided as it is, with no promise of availability, no uptime target, no support commitment and no warranty of any kind. It runs on a small budget and may be slow, may be down during a deploy, and may be down when you are in the middle of a meeting. Plan your ceremony so that losing the tool costs you a meeting rather than a decision — the estimates that matter live in Linear.

It may also change or stop. If it is going to be shut down, the intention is to say so before it happens, but nothing here promises that either. To the extent the law allows, there is no liability for any loss arising from using it.

What happens to your data

That is the privacy note's business, and the short version is: PointQuest stores your issue titles and descriptions indefinitely, and there is an address you can write to to have yours destroyed.
